If you are looking for a career that pays well and often has great benefits, then finding a truck driver job might be the best thing you could ever do. Truck driving jobs are often readily available and are almost recession proof. Of course costs of shipping and product is affected by recessions, but truck driving jobs are still available and ready for the picking. A lot of people who are looking for a truck driver job often wonder what they can expect as far as job duties go. We would like to help shed some light on this subject.



You have finally made it through school, and now have been hired with a company. You report to the company for orientation which will last for up to 5 days, and most company's will only give you maybe $25.00 per day for this. Some company's won't JD Truck Training Centre even do this. Of course the feed you lunch, and put you in a cheap motel, and provide you with a van to take you to the terminal and back to the motel.

Everything from braking and grabbing gears; to following distance, lane changes, exit ramps and knowing who's around you, truck driving is a thinking man's game. Thinking ahead is the name of the game. Then everything falls into a natural rhythm.

I don't know anyone who can claim to be an expert on Truck driving schools or the best method to pay for your Truck driving school! The fact is most people have only gone to one trucking school and if for some reason they have gone to more than one I would stay clear of them!

You must be a U.S. citizen, speak English, and have a valid copyright from the state in which you reside. In addition, you must be at least 21 years old to drive across state lines. Some Hr licence trucking companies will hire 18 year olds to drive within a state.

If HR Truck Licence you are wondering if you can get a CDL without attending a driving school the answer would be probably not. There might be situations where an outfit needs someone right now and if you have taken your written test than they could train you, get you tested and put on the road. Not the easiest thing to do, but it can be done.

Now second and lastly I like to talk about your experience. Some of you may have already been in a truck and know what it is like. Others have not a clue what to expect and are eager to know. So breaking the ice of the unknown will greatly increases your chances of survival of going through the school of hard knocks.

Backing and parking your truck. Or how to enter in a parking lot, or mountain driving and driving on ice are all things you should be prepared to know. To be a professional truck driver, making the big money behind the wheel of a big truck is what you do.
